If you are offered a space, you will be expected to attend all three days.

Admission to the program will be on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge to attend, but space will be limited in order to provide an intimate setting and encourage participation. The program will take place at GGU Law’s main campus building at 536 Mission Street from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (some meals will be included) from Wednesday, August 1st to Friday, August 3rd. Connect participants will have many opportunities to interact with current law students and GGU Law alumni who will share their experiences and answer questions. Upper-year students will help you get acquainted with case briefing, note-taking, speaking in class and the IRAC method of legal writing. Participating in Connect is optional and will complement your experience during the mandatory 1L Orientation Week by giving you a few extra days to meet your classmates and acclimate to the demands of law school.Ĭonnect will also include a mock class taught by a GGU Law Professor. Connect is a unique opportunity for individuals to prepare for the challenging life of a law student before the formal Orientation Week begins.

Connect focuses on students’ social, cultural and academic backgrounds in order to address some of the cultural barriers and pressures they may face during their first year of law school. The program was inspired, created and will be led by current law students.
